It is\u00a0the\u00a0work of architect\u00a0Georgi\u00a0Kostadinov\u00a0Tumpalov, who\u00a0began\u00a0work on the\u00a0structure in 1996. The landmark\u00a0is\u00a0located\u00a0about 3 kilometers\u00a0from\u00a0Sozopol, near\u00a0the\u00a0village of Ravadinovo.<\/p><p>The Castle of Ravadinovo\u00a0&#8220;In Love with\u00a0the\u00a0Wind&#8221; received\u00a0a gold\u00a0and a\u00a0silver\u00a0medal in the\u00a0category\u00a0&#8220;Tourist\u00a0Attraction&#8221; and\u00a0was\u00a0designated an architectural\u00a0marvel at the\u00a0prestigious\u00a0international\u00a0competition &#8220;A \u2018Design Award&#8221; in 2016. The castle&#8217;s\u00a0architectural design is\u00a0unique, a little extravagant, and\u00a0even exotic.<\/p><p>Given\u00a0the\u00a0fact\u00a0that\u00a0the\u00a0construction\u00a0began\u00a0nearly\u00a025 years\u00a0ago, the\u00a0Castle of Ravadinovo\u00a0is\u00a0unmistakably\u00a0one-of-a-kind.\u00a0Visitors are fascinated\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0attraction, and\u00a0one of them\u00a0describes it as &#8220;the\u00a0most\u00a0unusual building in the\u00a0most\u00a0unusual place.&#8221;<\/p><p>The Castle of Ravadinovo\u00a0is in a convenient location, close\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0highway, so\u00a0there\u00a0is\u00a0no\u00a0way\u00a0to miss it if\u00a0you drive down\u00a0from Burgas, on Bulgaria&#8217;s\u00a0southern Black Sea\u00a0coast. From\u00a0a bird\u2019s\u00a0eye\u00a0view, the\u00a0structure\u00a0appears\u00a0to\u00a0be a cross. The castle\u00a0itself\u00a0combines\u00a0various\u00a0architectural\u00a0decorative styles\u00a0and\u00a0materials, which are definitely\u00a0worth\u00a0seeing. The structure&#8217;s exterior is\u00a0adorned\u00a0with\u00a0brass\u00a0ornaments. They are hung on stone\u00a0walls at the back of the\u00a0castle, which are surrounded\u00a0by\u00a0thick\u00a0ivy. Copper\u00a0and\u00a0brass are used\u00a0to decorate the\u00a0towers. A stone gate at the\u00a0castle&#8217;s\u00a0entrance\u00a0leads\u00a0visitors\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0unique\u00a0palace, which\u00a0features a beautiful\u00a0arch.\u00a0Soon\u00a0after, you\u00a0find\u00a0yourself in a fairy\u00a0garden\u00a0with a lake\u00a0where\u00a0several\u00a0white\u00a0and\u00a0black\u00a0swans\u00a0add\u00a0to\u00a0the romantic atmosphere<\/p><p>It is a romantic and\u00a0mystical place for some, an escape\u00a0from\u00a0reality for others, and\u00a0the ideal location for a photo\u00a0shoot for still\u00a0others.
